CDP’s South Africa Disclosure Workshop aims to engage with South African corporates and financial institutions on the critical topics that matter most to them. South African businesses and financial institutions recognize the necessity to reduce their environmental risks, leverage their climate-related opportunities, and develop credible plans to thrive in a 1.5°C-aligned, nature-positive world.
This entails high-quality environmental disclosure in line with the latest market and regulatory standards, setting science-based targets that are recognized as best practice by customers and investors, and establishing clear transition plans to achieve these goals.
From technical guidance and insightful thought leadership to topical presentations and collaborative break-out sessions, CDP’s South Africa Disclosure Workshop will cover the most important and emerging developments in environmental reporting and action for 2024.
The event will include the following key elements:
Launch of a South African Summary Report: Highlighting what South African companies have reported to CDP and comparing these findings on a global scale.
Platform and Questionnaire Updates: Providing an overview of the main changes CDP has implemented in 2024.
Integration of Nature into Reporting: Emphasizing the importance of including biodiversity and plastics in reporting to improve environmental stewardship in the region.
Join us for a half-day event in mid-August 2024 to inspire action and share best practices, ensuring South African companies take the next steps towards effective environmental stewardship.
